3. Conception Date
If you know the exact date of conception, your due date can be estimated as 38 weeks from that day. This method is less commonly used than LMP because the date of conception can be difficult to pinpoint, and it typically occurs about two weeks after the first day of your last period.

4. IVF and Embryo Transfer Dates
For pregnancies achieved through in vitro fertilization (IVF), the due date calculation is exceptionally precise. Because the dates of egg retrieval, fertilization, and embryo transfer are known exactly, providers can calculate the EDD based on the transfer date of a 3-day or 5-day embryo, offering a highly accurate timeline.

For instance, they may take steps to prevent premature delivery or discuss inducing labor if you pass 42 weeks, as the placenta can become less effective at supplying nutrients over time.
